Jake and I chose to start off the running season with the 1st Annual State Fair 5K...although the course was rather boring (like most Phoenix races), we had fun and finished with decent times for our first race of the season....

Before the race, the banner was hung backwards. Oops! By the time we finished the banner had been turned around, so we finished at the Finish Line and not the Start Line, I didn't mind starting at the Finish Line though!
Us after the race! What a great kickoff! Now we need to find time to go back to the fair with our free tickets!! And plan our next race~I am hoping to get one in before the IronGirl 10mile on Nov 15th.
