The past 2 weeks have been phenomenal!
We travelled to San Diego to run the Rock N Roll Relay marathon for our friend Joelle. About 4 months ago she was diagnosed with Stege 3A Nodular Lymphocyte Predominate Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She is fighting an amazing battle and the smallest thing we could do is endure 4.9-8 miles(depending on our chosen leg) of running in her honor! 10 people travelled from PHX to SD for the weekend, 8 runners, that formed 2 teams, and 2 Full Time Cheerleaders including Joey herself (even though she had chemo the day before we left)! The entire weekend was unbelievable! Joelle is a trooper and we are all very thankful to have such a wonderful person in our lives!!!

Last weekend Jake and I drove up to Vegas. We had a free room for the weekend so we figured we would take advantage. The best part was that I slept over 9 hours on Friday night!!!! That rarely happens with me!!! I mean, who GOES to Sin City and SLEEPS! But it felt so nice and we realized its an easy 5 hour drive to Vegas so we may be heading back that direction eventually......

This weekend we are staying home to celebrate our 1 year anniversary! Next weekend we will be in San Francisco for a little getaway. Then Jake's family will be here-His parents, his aunt and uncle from MI and his aunt and uncle from Colorado are all coming out for a visit.
After next weekend the remainder of the summer will be spent like this.....no travelling! just pool parties, bbqs, relaxing and having fun in the sun!
