Jake and I had a wonderful time in San Diego to kick off 2010. We stayed at the Omni, and once again, we were thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service. From the valet to the bellhop to the desk staff and concierage, it was phenomenal. We went to Ocean Beach-the waves were crashing over the Pier! Then we headed out into Gaslamp for a night of drinking like we haven't done in a while.
We woke up the next day, went out for a delicious breakfast at the Broken Egg and then headed to the Chargers-Redskins game. 
Before departing the area on Monday, we headed up to La Jolla, which was absolutely gorgeous! 
We had a delicious mexican lunch then headed back to Phoenix. All in all, it was another wonderful mini-vaca and I can't wait for the next one (who knows when that will be)!!!!
Jake is now supposed to be studying for the NV Bar, but I think the books are still in his trunk....next weekend is the first 1/2 marathon of 2010!!!

Sounds like a great time! I've never stayed at the Omni but I remember it looked like a really nice place to stay. Have fun at the half!
